Apple squonk mod IQOS in New Zealand: the flat shortlist
Apple in New Zealand: 16 units tested over 8 weeks, squonk mod formats, priced per 10 ml for New Zealand.
Delivery, returns and what 4–8 business days really means
The honest read on apple: 16 units through the same routine over 8 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
Apple in New Zealand reaches the shelf in squonk mod formats, and the flat-rate ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
If you only read one line: the squonk mod you buy decides how long apple tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a apple squonk mod really costs in New Zealand
Ordering into New Zealand usually means waiting 4–8 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
How we tested apple in a squonk mod
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Zealand, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–8 business days.
- Spare parts availability for squonk mod in New Zealand, since tanks and pods go first.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Coil type inside the squonk mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Stock depth: 16 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where apple goes wrong
- Treating the advertised NZ$52 entry kit as the real cost when refills run NZ$2.22 per 10 ml.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why apple tastes flat after two days.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to New Zealand need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
Retail sales in New Zealand sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
Why does apple taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the squonk mod units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the apple blend itself harsh.
What nicotine strength should apple start at?
Start at whatever New Zealand allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a squonk mod.
How much does a squonk mod cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in New Zealand: about NZ$2.22 per 10 ml liquid plus NZ$52 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
