Apple starter kit IQOS in New Zealand: the online shortlist
Apple in New Zealand: 16 units tested over 9 weeks, starter kit formats, priced per 10 ml for New Zealand.
What the label on Apple is allowed to say
The honest read on apple: 16 units through the same routine over 9 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
Apple in New Zealand reaches the shelf in starter kit formats, and the online ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
The short version: apple in New Zealand works if the starter kit, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a apple starter kit really costs in New Zealand
Apple sounds like one product. It is not: a starter kit running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
How we tested apple in a starter kit
- Pick the starter kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–8 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Zealand, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Spare parts availability for starter kit in New Zealand, since tanks and pods go first.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every apple bottle shipped into New Zealand.
- Stock depth: 16 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where apple goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a starter kit that then needs an adapter nobody in New Zealand stocks.
- Treating the advertised NZ$50 entry kit as the real cost when refills run NZ$2.44 per 10 ml.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why apple tastes flat after two days.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to New Zealand need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
Retail sales in New Zealand sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
Why does apple taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the starter kit units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the apple blend itself harsh.
How long does apple in a starter kit last?
In New Zealand we measured 9 to 16 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
How much does a starter kit cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in New Zealand: about NZ$2.44 per 10 ml liquid plus NZ$50 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
