Caramel refill pack IQOS in New Zealand: the cheap shortlist
Caramel in New Zealand: 9 units tested over 5 weeks, refill pack formats, priced per 10 ml for New Zealand.
Stock, batch codes and the dispatch window
Caramel prices move with import duty more than with brand. In New Zealand that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within NZ$1.98 per 10 ml.
The honest read on caramel: 9 units through the same routine over 5 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
The short version: caramel in New Zealand works if the refill pack, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a caramel refill pack really costs in New Zealand
Caramel sounds like one product. It is not: a refill pack running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
How we tested caramel in a refill pack
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Zealand, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the refill pack that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Spare parts availability for refill pack in New Zealand, since tanks and pods go first.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a refill pack arrives sealed but wrong.
- Coil type inside the refill pack, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Batch code and production date, so a caramel bottle turned in 5 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where caramel goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a refill pack that then needs an adapter nobody in New Zealand stocks.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long caramel in New Zealand survives.
- Treating the advertised NZ$39 entry kit as the real cost when refills run NZ$1.98 per 10 ml.
The rules that apply here
New Zealand sets its own nicotine rules by regulation, not EU TPD. Shipping of nicotine to New Zealand runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
Wholesale lines to New Zealand need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.

Frequently asked questions
Do you ship tracked orders to New Zealand?
Yes, tracked to 4–8 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
Why does caramel taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the refill pack units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the caramel blend itself harsh.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On caramel the budget price and the premium price can sit within NZ$1.98 per 10 ml once 4–8 business days is counted.
