Citrus box mod IQOS in New Zealand: the order shortlist
Citrus in New Zealand: 11 units tested over 3 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for New Zealand.
Coil life, liquid cost and the citrus habit
Citrus sounds like one product. It is not: a box mod running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
We run citrus the same way in New Zealand: same box mod, same 3 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
The short version: citrus in New Zealand works if the box mod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a citrus box mod really costs in New Zealand
Ordering into New Zealand usually means waiting 4–8 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
How we tested citrus in a box mod
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the box mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Zealand, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Batch code and production date, so a citrus bottle turned in 3 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a box mod arrives sealed but wrong.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–8 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
Where citrus goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a box mod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why citrus tastes flat after two days.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in New Zealand accept nicotine freight.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to New Zealand need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
Packaging for citrus in New Zealand must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.

Frequently asked questions
Is citrus legal to sell in New Zealand?
New Zealand sets its own nicotine rules by regulation, not EU TPD.
How long does citrus in a box mod last?
In New Zealand we measured 3 to 11 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Do you ship tracked orders to New Zealand?
Yes, tracked to 4–8 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
