Dessert box mod IQOS in New Zealand: the compare shortlist
Dessert in New Zealand: 21 units tested over 6 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for New Zealand.
Choosing a box mod for dessert
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in New Zealand. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
Dessert box mod reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 21 units and 6 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
The short version: dessert in New Zealand works if the box mod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a dessert box mod really costs in New Zealand
Dessert box mod reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 21 units and 6 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
How we tested dessert in a box mod
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the box mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–8 business days.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–8 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Zealand, not a suggestion.
- Stock depth: 21 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where dessert goes wrong
- Mixing dessert with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Treating the advertised NZ$37 entry kit as the real cost when refills run NZ$3.35 per 10 ml.
- Ignoring the batch date on a box mod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
The rules that apply here
New Zealand sets its own nicotine rules by regulation, not EU TPD. Shipping of nicotine to New Zealand runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.

Frequently asked questions
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On dessert the budget price and the premium price can sit within NZ$3.35 per 10 ml once 4–8 business days is counted.
Why does dessert taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the box mod units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the dessert blend itself harsh.
Do you ship tracked orders to New Zealand?
Yes, tracked to 4–8 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
