How we tested Dessert refill pack here
If you are looking at dessert in New Zealand, the first question is not strength. It is whether the refill pack you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
Dessert in New Zealand reaches the shelf in refill pack formats, and the compared ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
Below is the run we did for this search: 24 units, refill pack, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a dessert refill pack really costs in New Zealand
If you are looking at dessert in New Zealand, the first question is not strength. It is whether the refill pack you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
How we tested dessert in a refill pack
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Zealand, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the refill pack that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–8 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a refill pack arrives sealed but wrong.
- Batch code and production date, so a dessert bottle turned in 2 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Spare parts availability for refill pack in New Zealand, since tanks and pods go first.
Where dessert goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a refill pack and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Mixing dessert with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why dessert tastes flat after two days.

Frequently asked questions
Why does dessert taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the refill pack units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the dessert blend itself harsh.
What nicotine strength should dessert start at?
Start at whatever New Zealand allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a refill pack.
How much does a refill pack cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in New Zealand: about NZ$2.63 per 10 ml liquid plus NZ$44 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
