Fig box mod IQOS in New Zealand: the order shortlist
Fig in New Zealand: 9 units tested over 8 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for New Zealand.
How to tell a good box mod from a repack
Fig in a box mod is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In New Zealand the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
If you are looking at fig in New Zealand, the first question is not strength. It is whether the box mod you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
Below is the run we did for this search: 9 units, box mod, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a fig box mod really costs in New Zealand
Fig sounds like one product. It is not: a box mod running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
How we tested fig in a box mod
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the box mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–8 business days.
- Stock depth: 9 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Coil type inside the box mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
Where fig goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a box mod that then needs an adapter nobody in New Zealand stocks.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in New Zealand accept nicotine freight.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why fig tastes flat after two days.

Frequently asked questions
Is fig legal to sell in New Zealand?
New Zealand sets its own nicotine rules by regulation, not EU TPD.
Why does fig taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the box mod units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the fig blend itself harsh.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On fig the budget price and the premium price can sit within NZ$2.0 per 10 ml once 4–8 business days is counted.
