Fig box mod IQOS in New Zealand: the review shortlist
Fig in New Zealand: 18 units tested over 6 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for New Zealand.
What the label on Fig is allowed to say
We run fig the same way in New Zealand: same box mod, same 6 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Most people searching IQOS in New Zealand are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
If you only read one line: the box mod you buy decides how long fig tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a fig box mod really costs in New Zealand
The honest read on fig: 18 units through the same routine over 6 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
How we tested fig in a box mod
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–8 business days.
- Pick the box mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every fig bottle shipped into New Zealand.
- Batch code and production date, so a fig bottle turned in 6 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Zealand, not a suggestion.
- Stock depth: 18 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where fig goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why fig tastes flat after two days.
- Buying the cheapest box mod available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Ignoring the batch date on a box mod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in New Zealand sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
New Zealand sets its own nicotine rules by regulation, not EU TPD.

Frequently asked questions
Why does fig taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the box mod units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the fig blend itself harsh.
Can I order IQOS online in New Zealand?
Yes, tracked dispatch before 14:00, and delivery lands in 4–8 business days. Stock is batch-traced, so the bottle you receive carries a dated code.
How long does fig in a box mod last?
In New Zealand we measured 6 to 18 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
