The honest read on graphite: 15 units through the same routine over 4 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
A graphite squonk mod from the flat-rate options in New Zealand costs about NZ$1.86 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
The short version: graphite in New Zealand works if the squonk mod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a graphite squonk mod really costs in New Zealand
Most people searching IQOS in New Zealand are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
How we tested graphite in a squonk mod
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Zealand, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the squonk mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Stock depth: 15 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Coil type inside the squonk mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Zealand, not a suggestion.
Where graphite goes wrong
- Mixing graphite with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in New Zealand accept nicotine freight.
- Buying the cheapest squonk mod available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
