Licorice box mod IQOS in New Zealand: the cheap shortlist
Licorice in New Zealand: 22 units tested over 2 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for New Zealand.
Where buyers go wrong with licorice in New Zealand
Licorice in New Zealand reaches the shelf in box mod formats, and the cheapest ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
The honest read on licorice: 22 units through the same routine over 2 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
The short version: licorice in New Zealand works if the box mod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a licorice box mod really costs in New Zealand
Most people searching IQOS in New Zealand are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
How we tested licorice in a box mod
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Zealand, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–8 business days.
- Pick the box mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a box mod arrives sealed but wrong.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Zealand, not a suggestion.
- Stock depth: 22 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Spare parts availability for box mod in New Zealand, since tanks and pods go first.
Where licorice goes wrong
- Mixing licorice with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Ignoring the batch date on a box mod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Treating the advertised NZ$37 entry kit as the real cost when refills run NZ$2.21 per 10 ml.
The rules that apply here
New Zealand sets its own nicotine rules by regulation, not EU TPD. Shipping of nicotine to New Zealand runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.

Frequently asked questions
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On licorice the budget price and the premium price can sit within NZ$2.21 per 10 ml once 4–8 business days is counted.
Do you ship tracked orders to New Zealand?
Yes, tracked to 4–8 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
Why does licorice taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the box mod units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the licorice blend itself harsh.
