What a melon box mod really costs in New Zealand
The honest read on melon: 20 units through the same routine over 8 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
How we tested melon in a box mod
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–8 business days.
- Pick the box mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Batch code and production date, so a melon bottle turned in 8 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a box mod arrives sealed but wrong.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Coil type inside the box mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where melon goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why melon tastes flat after two days.
- Treating the advertised NZ$52 entry kit as the real cost when refills run NZ$2.11 per 10 ml.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in New Zealand accept nicotine freight.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to New Zealand need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
New Zealand sets its own nicotine rules by regulation, not EU TPD.

Frequently asked questions
Why does melon taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the box mod units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the melon blend itself harsh.
Do you ship tracked orders to New Zealand?
Yes, tracked to 4–8 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On melon the budget price and the premium price can sit within NZ$2.11 per 10 ml once 4–8 business days is counted.
