Melon pod kit IQOS in New Zealand: the compare shortlist
Melon in New Zealand: 10 units tested over 8 weeks, pod kit formats, priced per 10 ml for New Zealand.
How to tell a good pod kit from a repack
Melon in a pod kit is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In New Zealand the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
If you are looking at melon in New Zealand, the first question is not strength. It is whether the pod kit you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
If you only read one line: the pod kit you buy decides how long melon tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a melon pod kit really costs in New Zealand
Melon pod kit reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 10 units and 8 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
How we tested melon in a pod kit
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–8 business days.
- Pick the pod kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Zealand, not a suggestion.
- Coil type inside the pod kit, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Spare parts availability for pod kit in New Zealand, since tanks and pods go first.
Where melon goes wrong
- Treating the advertised NZ$51 entry kit as the real cost when refills run NZ$1.99 per 10 ml.
- Chasing a discount on a pod kit that then needs an adapter nobody in New Zealand stocks.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
The rules that apply here
New Zealand sets its own nicotine rules by regulation, not EU TPD.
Retail sales in New Zealand sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
