Melon refill pack IQOS in New Zealand: the budget shortlist
Melon in New Zealand: 19 units tested over 4 weeks, refill pack formats, priced per 10 ml for New Zealand.
Delivery, returns and what 4–8 business days really means
Melon refill pack reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 19 units and 4 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
A melon refill pack from the budget options in New Zealand costs about NZ$1.84 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
If you only read one line: the refill pack you buy decides how long melon tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a melon refill pack really costs in New Zealand
We run melon the same way in New Zealand: same refill pack, same 4 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested melon in a refill pack
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Zealand, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the refill pack that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–8 business days.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every melon bottle shipped into New Zealand.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Zealand, not a suggestion.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Coil type inside the refill pack, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where melon goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a refill pack and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Treating the advertised NZ$50 entry kit as the real cost when refills run NZ$1.84 per 10 ml.

Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the refill pack units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the melon blend itself harsh.
Is melon legal to sell in New Zealand?
New Zealand sets its own nicotine rules by regulation, not EU TPD.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On melon the budget price and the premium price can sit within NZ$1.84 per 10 ml once 4–8 business days is counted.
