The short version: mint in New Zealand works if the squonk mod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a mint squonk mod really costs in New Zealand
If you are looking at mint in New Zealand, the first question is not strength. It is whether the squonk mod you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
How we tested mint in a squonk mod
- Pick the squonk mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–8 business days.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every mint bottle shipped into New Zealand.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a squonk mod arrives sealed but wrong.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Batch code and production date, so a mint bottle turned in 4 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where mint goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a squonk mod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why mint tastes flat after two days.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in New Zealand accept nicotine freight.
The rules that apply here
New Zealand sets its own nicotine rules by regulation, not EU TPD. Shipping of nicotine to New Zealand runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
Packaging for mint in New Zealand must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.

Frequently asked questions
How long does mint in a squonk mod last?
In New Zealand we measured 4 to 12 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Why does mint taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the squonk mod units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the mint blend itself harsh.
Do you ship tracked orders to New Zealand?
Yes, tracked to 4–8 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
