Mintice box mod IQOS in New Zealand: the budget shortlist
Mintice in New Zealand: 21 units tested over 9 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for New Zealand.
Where buyers go wrong with mintice in New Zealand
Ordering into New Zealand usually means waiting 4–8 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
Mintice prices move with import duty more than with brand. In New Zealand that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within NZ$2.97 per 10 ml.
The short version: mintice in New Zealand works if the box mod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a mintice box mod really costs in New Zealand
A mintice box mod from the budget options in New Zealand costs about NZ$2.97 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested mintice in a box mod
- Pick the box mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Zealand, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Coil type inside the box mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a box mod arrives sealed but wrong.
- Batch code and production date, so a mintice bottle turned in 9 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Spare parts availability for box mod in New Zealand, since tanks and pods go first.
Where mintice goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long mintice in New Zealand survives.
- Buying the cheapest box mod available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in New Zealand accept nicotine freight.
The rules that apply here
New Zealand sets its own nicotine rules by regulation, not EU TPD. Shipping of nicotine to New Zealand runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
Retail sales in New Zealand sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
How long does mintice in a box mod last?
In New Zealand we measured 9 to 21 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Why does mintice taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the box mod units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the mintice blend itself harsh.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On mintice the budget price and the premium price can sit within NZ$2.97 per 10 ml once 4–8 business days is counted.
