Mintice squonk mod IQOS in New Zealand: the flat shortlist
Mintice in New Zealand: 10 units tested over 2 weeks, squonk mod formats, priced per 10 ml for New Zealand.
How we tested Mintice squonk mod here
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in New Zealand. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
Mintice prices move with import duty more than with brand. In New Zealand that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within NZ$2.67 per 10 ml.
The short version: mintice in New Zealand works if the squonk mod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a mintice squonk mod really costs in New Zealand
We run mintice the same way in New Zealand: same squonk mod, same 2 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested mintice in a squonk mod
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–8 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Zealand, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Coil type inside the squonk mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Spare parts availability for squonk mod in New Zealand, since tanks and pods go first.
- Stock depth: 10 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where mintice goes wrong
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Treating the advertised NZ$36 entry kit as the real cost when refills run NZ$2.67 per 10 ml.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why mintice tastes flat after two days.
