Pear pen device IQOS in New Zealand: the guide shortlist
Pear in New Zealand: 12 units tested over 3 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for New Zealand.
What pear costs in New Zealand
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in New Zealand. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
Pear in a pen device is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In New Zealand the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
Below is the run we did for this search: 12 units, pen device, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a pear pen device really costs in New Zealand
If you are looking at pear in New Zealand, the first question is not strength. It is whether the pen device you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
How we tested pear in a pen device
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–8 business days.
- Pick the pen device that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–8 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Batch code and production date, so a pear bottle turned in 3 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Stock depth: 12 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Spare parts availability for pen device in New Zealand, since tanks and pods go first.
Where pear goes wrong
- Treating the advertised NZ$31 entry kit as the real cost when refills run NZ$2.01 per 10 ml.
- Ignoring the batch date on a pen device and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why pear tastes flat after two days.
