Plain zero-nicotine bottle IQOS in New Zealand: the order shortlist — Iqosnewzealand
Plain in New Zealand: 15 units tested over 9 weeks, zero-nicotine bottle formats, priced per 10 ml for New Zealand.
Stock, batch codes and the dispatch window
Plain sounds like one product. It is not: a zero-nicotine bottle running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
The honest read on plain: 15 units through the same routine over 9 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
If you only read one line: the zero-nicotine bottle you buy decides how long plain tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a plain zero-nicotine bottle really costs in New Zealand
Plain in a zero-nicotine bottle is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In New Zealand the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested plain in a zero-nicotine bottle
- Pick the zero-nicotine bottle that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–8 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Batch code and production date, so a plain bottle turned in 9 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Stock depth: 15 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a zero-nicotine bottle arrives sealed but wrong.
- Coil type inside the zero-nicotine bottle, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where plain goes wrong
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in New Zealand accept nicotine freight.
- Treating the advertised NZ$39 entry kit as the real cost when refills run NZ$1.94 per 10 ml.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in New Zealand sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Wholesale lines to New Zealand need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.

| Entry kit | NZ$39 | What a first order really pays |
