Plum refill pack IQOS in New Zealand: the cheap shortlist
Plum in New Zealand: 22 units tested over 6 weeks, refill pack formats, priced per 10 ml for New Zealand.
How to tell a good refill pack from a repack
We run plum the same way in New Zealand: same refill pack, same 6 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
The honest read on plum: 22 units through the same routine over 6 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
If you only read one line: the refill pack you buy decides how long plum tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a plum refill pack really costs in New Zealand
Ordering into New Zealand usually means waiting 4–8 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
How we tested plum in a refill pack
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–8 business days.
- Pick the refill pack that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Zealand, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Coil type inside the refill pack, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Zealand, not a suggestion.
Where plum goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why plum tastes flat after two days.
- Chasing a discount on a refill pack that then needs an adapter nobody in New Zealand stocks.
- Ignoring the batch date on a refill pack and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
The rules that apply here
New Zealand sets its own nicotine rules by regulation, not EU TPD. Shipping of nicotine to New Zealand runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
Retail sales in New Zealand sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should plum start at?
Start at whatever New Zealand allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a refill pack.
Can I order IQOS online in New Zealand?
Yes, tracked dispatch before 14:00, and delivery lands in 4–8 business days. Stock is batch-traced, so the bottle you receive carries a dated code.
Why does plum taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the refill pack units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the plum blend itself harsh.
